The ECTN certificate is a mandatory document for shipments to the Central African Republic. Please note that final documents must be kept the same after submission as any changes will result in a penalty fee. The verification process takes approximately one week and all documents must be consistent to receive a verified certificate. Although Cameroon is the closest port country to the Central African Republic, the Cameroon BESC certificate is not required for transit cargo. For transit cargoes going via Douala or Kribi, only the Central African Republic ECTN certificate will be sufficient.
